Samsunspor completes goalkeeper and midfielder transfers | İ. Eğribayat

Samsunspor has added two new players to its roster. Samsunspor has officially announced that it has reached a principle agreement for the transfers of İrfan Can Eğribayat from Fenerbahçe and Yalçın Kayan from Eyüpspor.

In a statement from the club, it was stated that “Our club has reached a principle agreement with Fenerbahçe A.Ş. for the transfer of İrfan Can Eğribayat and with Eyüpspor for the transfer of Yalçın Kayan. The players have been invited to Samsun to undergo medical checks and complete transfer negotiations.”

İrfan Can Eğribayat's career

The 26-year-old goalkeeper has played a total of 53 games for Fenerbahçe. Eğribayat was transferred from Göztepe in 2023 for a fee of 1.2 million euros. He has also played 69 games for Adanaspor and 67 games for Göztepe in his career.

Yalçın Kayan's role

Yalçın Kayan, who was transferred from Eyüpspor, is expected to play an important role in Samsunspor's midfield rotation. The experienced midfielder, who also has a past with Göztepe, has played 17 games this season.

Samsunspor's roster construction

Samsunspor's roster construction is ongoing. The red-whites recently parted ways with Soner Aydoğdu, while Anthony Musaba was transferred to Fenerbahçe for a fee of 5 million euros. Saikuba Jarju and Ali Badra Diabaté, who are currently in Samsunspor's roster, are expected to play for the team in the second half of the season.
